Lee Newman
Drone Lead at London Fire Brigade & UK ISAR
Biography
Lee is a Station Officer in the London Fire Brigade and has served 27 years in an operational role. In 2017 he became project manager for the drone project after seeing drone technology being used at the Grenfell tower fire by the Kent Fire Rescue Service. Lee assumed the role of Drone Project Lead for LFB and is now responsible for its growth and expansion. As a team Lee and his colleagues have used drones on hundreds of occasions to survey fire incidents alongside showcasing the technology and its capability across the London Fire brigade.
