In 2016, Simon Ritterband founded Moonrock Drone Insurance (“Moonrock”), the UK’s pioneering online-based insurance scheme, dedicated to the commercial and consumer drone sector.

Under Simon’s leadership, Moonrock has risen to a leading position as a specialist UAV and eVTOL insurer on a global scale. Known for its high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and profound industry expertise, Moonrock stands out in the market.

As a Managing General Agent (MGA), Moonrock now insures a diverse range of drones, from recreational hobby drones to multi-million-pound military UAVs and everything in between.

Simon’s innovative approach and expertise have solidified his reputation as a leader in the UAV and eVTOL insurance market. He actively contributes to the industry by serving on  government and regulatory committees and has been a contributing author for two books on autonomous insurance.
