Lara Iglesia is the Founder and CEO of Pirineos Drone, a startup based in the north of Spain that, since its foundation in 2020, has specialised in UAS inspections. The company has since evolved with a clear project to develop cargo and delivery solutions using drones in mountainous and difficult-to-access areas.
Graduated in sports science, she has spent part of her career as a sports centre manager and trainer in the Spanish Navy. However, her true vocation has always been aviation — a passion she experienced closely through her father, a fighter pilot in the Spanish Air Force, who taught her to fly ULMs and gliders from a very young age.
The significant development potential of the sector led her to establish the company she now leads, with the firm purpose of breaking barriers and turning trials into a viable market by creating a cargo drone airline. This initiative aims to address a real need in the Pyrenees and, by extension, any region with access challenges.
She has recently completed a university specialisation in business administration and management, a field in which she hopes to continue professionally in the coming years, alongside business development, within the AAM sector.
