René Binnewerg is a seasoned project and process management expert, currently leading the Digital Lab at the Agency for Roads, Bridges and Waters of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. With over a decade of experience spanning public administration, consultancy, and the armed forces, he brings a strategic and hands-on approach to digitalisation, AI integration, and hybrid project management.
René is a certified senior project manager (IPMA Level B), SCRUM Master, Product Owner, and accredited trainer (GPM), with specialisations in change management and organisational development. He is also the founder of Triebkraft, where he delivers professional training in project and process management based on international standards.
Fluent in German and English, René holds a degree in Economics from Helmut Schmidt University and has led numerous transformation initiatives across sectors — most notably in geo-referenced project programmes and civic tech innovation. His work is defined by a commitment to sustainable management and the empowerment of teams through structured methodologies and practical solutions.
