Kirill Shilov

Biography

Kirill Shilov is the Founder & CEO of Sky-Drones Technologies Ltd, a UK-based developer and manufacturer of advanced UAV platforms, flight control systems, telemetry, and cloud software for autonomous aviation. Under his leadership, Sky-Drones has grown into a global technology company serving customers across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia, delivering solutions for commercial, government, and defence applications. The company has also been awarded funding through the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Future Flight Challenge for the development of next-generation aviation technologies.

Kirill is also the Founder & CEO of ALPIREUM Sàrl, a Swiss company focused on the development of advanced autonomous aerospace technologies and AI-powered software.

With expertise spanning flight control systems, autonomous navigation, embedded systems, electronics, and aerospace engineering, Kirill has dedicated his career to advancing unmanned aviation. Before founding Sky-Drones, he worked as a software engineer at Autonomous Control Systems Laboratory in Tokyo, Japan, and Perspective Robotics AG in Zürich, Switzerland.

Kirill is Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) and holds a Master of Science with Honours in Aerospace Engineering, specialising in Flight Dynamics and Control, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Mathematics and Physics. He is also a UK Civil Aviation Authority Private Pilot Licence (PPL) holder and aircraft owner.
