Darryl Abelscroft

Biography
Darryl works within the Future Safety and Innovation division in the UK Civil Aviation Authority, leading the team developing the approach to regulating eVTOL, hydrogen aircraft and drones. He is on secondment from the UK Department for Transport where he was responsible for developing the Future of Flight Action Plan, Jet Zero Strategy as well as overseeing the Department’s role in the UK space strategy. He was worked on strategy development in Government for over ten years, with a background in energy and climate change policy in public-, private-, and the third-sector.
