Biography

Francesco Bortoluzzi is Head of Sustainability Programs at the ZHAW, where he heads the strategic program for sustainable development “ZHAW sustainable” with Urs Hilber, Delegate of the University Executive Board for sustainable development. The programs of ZHAW sustainable cover all dimensions of sustainability and are guided by the ZHAW Sustainability Strategy, Green Impact Book, and the UN Agenda 2030 with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
A highly skilled international relations practitioner, Francesco Bortoluzzi has gathered wide-ranging experience in project and program management for international initiatives, academic relations, sustainable development, and mobility programs in Switzerland, Europe, and the United States. An effective international connector and communicator, he has been successful in fostering extensive contact networks and establishing institutional collaborations across two continents in dynamic and entrepreneurial settings, especially during his time with Swissnex in Boston and New York.
