Idan Shimon

Biography

Idan Shimon is an authority in unmanned systems with vast experience in all commercial, operational, and technological aspects of drones and their ancillary subsystems. He is well-regarded and has acquired an impressive international network in the drone technology and aerospace industry.

His vast 35 years drone experience started at a young age, he was the Israeli RC Aerobatics Model Champion in 1995 and served as a UAV operator in the Israeli Intelligence Corps. As an entrepreneur, Idan is an Angel Investor and director in several successful startups across the broad spectrum of industries and disciplines. He founded Aeronautics Ltd, a UAV company, and grew it to more than 700 employees.

Idan has a proven record of success in managing sales and growing revenues, new business development, and government contracting. Known for his strong technical skills, he is also deeply knowledgeable about diversified technologies in the drones, sensors, and the cyber domains.

He holds an LLB degree from Tel Aviv University and resides in Israel.
