Vice-President At UECNA (European Union Against Aircraft Nuisances)


John Stewart is the Vice-President of UECNA. He has been involved in the fields of transport and noise for nearly 40 years. For 20 years he was coordinator of HACAN, the organisation which gives a voice to residents under the Heathrow flight paths. He has liaised with both the Department for Transport and the UK aviation at a senior level. He is the author of a number of publications including Why Noise Matters, published in 2011. Currently, he chairs both the Campaign for Better Tranport and the UK Noise Association. He is one of UECNA’s representatives on EASA and is a member of the EU Noise Expert Group.
