Juan José Sola

Biography

Juan José Sola (Juanjo) is the Chief Regulatory Officer & Quality Manager at Murzilli Consulting. He is an aerospace engineer and a licensed pilot for both traditional aircraft and UAS with a background in air traffic control. He was the former head of the UAS Division of the Spanish CAA (AESA), and prior to that, he was their ATM/AIS Oversight Inspector and ATC Training Manager. He has been a part of the ICAO RPAS Panel, JARUS, and EASA’s UAS Focal Point.

His expertise plays a key role at Murzilli Consulting, as he is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new regulatory challenges at private and government levels. He aligns with government authorities on the regulatory organisation of digital airspace and rethinking the existing regulatory framework. Juanjo supports operators in obtaining authorisations or Light UAS Operator Certificates and ensures that all regulatory-related decisions align with Murzilli Consulting’s overall business objectives. He also maintains quality regulatory and space consulting to enhance operational efficiency and satisfaction for our clients.
