Deputy Manager of the Active Mobility Unit at Municipal Transport Authority, Gdańsk

Biography

Magdalena is a Deputy Manager of the Active Mobility Unit within the Gdansk Municipal Transport Authority. Over the years, working for the City of Gdansk, she has worked on active mobility, sustainable development and smart city projects, coordinated electromobility, autonomous mobility and e-scooters operations on strategic level. She has lead locally both the SOHJOA Baltic and SOHJOA Last Mile projects, successfully delivering two first pilots of the autonomous last mile transport in Poland.

 

Currently Magdalena is involved in the CITYAM project, that equips cities with tools to improve airspace management in dealing with emerging urban air mobility and scaling drone operations, where Gdansk, besides carrying out large scale public acceptance survey, is preparing for aerial road safety audits.

 

Magdalena has also been a program director for the Velo-city 25 World Cycling Congress hosted by Gdansk.

 

On daily basis she acquires and implements projects in the field of sustainable mobility and smart city.

 

Graduated from Sociology at the University of Gdansk. She holds a PhD in economic sciences. She is interested in marketing communication in the field of sustainable development. Previously, she was responsible for marketing communication in Gdansk’s science centre. She also worked in local government in England. She took her first professional steps as a news reporter.
