Biography
Russell Vickers is the Co-Founder and CEO of Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI), a leading testbed for next-generation transportation based in Shannon, Ireland.
He oversees FMCI’s pioneering work in advanced air mobility, including the development of drone ports, BVLOS operations, vertiport infrastructure, and AAM integration with Shannon Airport. Under his leadership, FMCI recently published Skyward Bound: Advanced Aerial Innovation in Ireland, the country’s first strategic roadmap for advanced air mobility.
With a career spanning senior engineering roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Texas Instruments, Ericsson, and Intel, Russell combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to shaping the future of connected, automated, and sustainable mobility.
